Wedding Adornments

Wedding Adornments

akuacrown2 need sizingSpring is in the air…and the wedding bells are ringing.

For the first time in my jewelry design career I have been exploring the muted colors of bridal adornments. I have been commissioned by several “brides to be” to create their adornments for those special wedding days. Each sister that has purchased a custom bridal adornment from me has challenged my creative abilities and the designs have been such fun for me to conceptualize and create.

I was accustomed to creating beadwork that was bright, colorful and passionate so it was a challenge when a bride in Australia asked me to design a pair of barefoot sandals in silver, cream and off white. I had to embrace the idea of creating more simple patterns with similar colors. My mind had to adjust to the idea that I could bring those colors together in a way that was pleasing to the eye as well as compliment the bride’s gown.

I learned that simple colors can be simply Stunning and all colors should be offered the opportunity to be a part of my beadery canvas.  I also learned that each bride is unique with her own taste in color and style. It is a great pleasure to connect with a bride in a way that honors her as a unique Queen!

What a pleasure it is to be a part of a wedding that unites two loving beings.  If only for a moment I imagine  how a queen must feel upon the day of her wedding,  the bride puts on her beautiful  gown, her Earcuffs, Crown and her Barefoot sandals.  While a bride is wearing my beadwork I feel that have played a special role as my creativity is  love filled just like the love shared between two newlyweds; the beads are united in forming a union that can be cherished along with all of the special memories of the day.

I have also have  had the honor of connecting and collaborating with Amazing designers such as Therez Fleetwood.  I am very inspired by her creativity as well and feel a deep connection to her Ethnic inspired Wedding Gowns. My Earcuffs are pictured here with a gown by Therez Fleetwood.

I’m so thankful that you and your husband Mr. Honor are on here sharing what you do online on Youtube and all. You both irradiate the light of Creator and it is beautiful to see others of similar spirit and awareness. I share you videos often with my future husband to be. He likes to read more so. You’ve also encouraged me to get back into my seed bead work! I definitely look forward to ordering a piece or two soon along with checking out ya’lls premium membership site with your videos. Thank you for all that you do. Stay bright and alive.
